The site of traffic changes in Cape Coral. Credit: WINK News A newly constructed segment of Littleton Road between NE 24th Avenue and Corbett Road is rearranging traffic patterns in Cape Coral. Since this project was announced, neighbors have been relieved but also anxious to see how this roundabout will work. Many believe drivers need to slow down, but worry this new traffic pattern may confuse them. Details of the change: The roundabout will partially open for now, with temporary signals at east- and westbound Littleton Road and northbound Corbett Road. Crews will continue to work in the area. There will be a four-foot bike lane on each side of the road. New sidewalks will be added. The new segment is scheduled to open to drivers on Sept. 28. Construction on the project will finish completely in December 2020.
