Front brings lower humidity and cooler temperatures for the start of Autumn

Published: Updated:

The first cold front of the season moved through Southwest Florida on Monday… and it’s about a month ahead of schedule!

On average, our first cold front doesn’t arrive until mid or late October. Nevertheless, we will welcome this front with open arms, as it will bring us drier weather and lower humidity Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday morning felt comfortable with dewpoints in the upper 60s. We won’t see a significant temperature drop with this front, but the weather will feel much more pleasant with the lower humidity.

Wednesday morning will be the coolest this week. Lows will dip into the 70s near the Gulf coast and into the upper 60s inland and east of I-75.
