At 7:18, Sunday the National Weather Service in Tampa issued a flood advisory for Charlotte County and northeastern Lee County until 11:00 p.m. Up to three inches of rain has already fallen in some areas and more is expected in the next hour. Areas such as Noth Port, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda could be affected. If you witness flooding, NWS advises you to turn around, don’t drown.
