Three Moore Haven Middle-High School (MHMHS) students have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Glades County School District.

Superintendent of Schools Kim Jordan confirmed that three students were positive for the virus following an epidemiological investigation completed by the Florida Department of Health.

Out of an abundance of caution, the district sent home 93 students and 22 faculty members. Jordan noted that coaches were included within the faculty sent home.

The school is being deep cleaned, disinfected and sanitized over the weekend. Football and volleyball games have been postponed until further notice.

Jordan also said the district is considering safe, appropriate educational options and will provide an update in the coming days.
