The Department of Economic Opportunity has been approved to provide a fourth week of Lost Wage Assistance benefits for eligible Floridians.

This means that eligible Floridians will receive an additional $300 in LWA benefits for the week ending Aug. 22, 2020.

The DEO said in a press release, “the fourth week will be the last week of LWA benefits provided.”

The original LWA application was for three weeks and those payments have been provided to eligible Floridians for weeks ending Aug. 1, Aug. 8 and Aug. 15, 2020.

DEO recommends that people collecting Reemployment Assistance “choose direct deposit as their means of receiving benefits to ensure payments are received as quickly as possible. This video and guide may be helpful.”
