Southwest Florida weather forecast Saturday night and into Sunday

Reporter: Greg Rule
Published: Updated:

As was forecast, scattered showers and thunderstorms have developed in our inland communities this evening. Storms are expected to decrease after sunset tonight, with movement to the northeast. Our coastal areas will remain partly cloudy and dry this evening and overnight.

Despite our forecast models showing mainly dry conditions to start out Sunday morning, there is a slight chance for an isolated coastal shower through the late morning. As our upper level winds push moisture to the east tomorrow afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorms will likely develop in our inland communities.

Afternoon highs on Sunday will return to the low to mid 90’s, with a light S /SW wind near 10 MPH.
