A Golden Gate man was arrested Thursday on charges related to child pornography.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said 50-year-old Brian Lane Martin has been charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography, one count of possession of child pornography with intent to promote and six counts of transmission of child pornography.

CCSO said it received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about the possible transmission of child pornography and detectives determined the activity was occurring at Martin’s residence.

Detectives executed a search warrant Thursday at Martin’s residence where they say they located a desktop computer in his bedroom. Martin told detectives the desktop belonged to him and that he utilized it for his business and for his personal use.

The CCSO Digital Forensic Section examined Martin’s desktop and found numerous images of child pornography. Detectives reviewed more than 100 nude images depicting children in lewd poses or engaged in sexual acts with other children or adults. The children appeared to range in age from 5 to 16.

Detectives said Martin transmitted images from his business email account to store on his desktop. Detectives also located a hidden folder containing child pornography on his desktop.
