Rusty’s Raw Bar and Grill in Estero has alcoholic beverage license suspended.

An Estero restaurant had its alcoholic beverage license suspended by the state for violating the governor’s executive order on COVID-19 operations.

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation on Tuesday reported the emergency suspension of the license for Rusty’s Raw Bar and Grill.

The DBPR report states the restaurant had more than 200 patrons waiting in a line to enter when they were allowed fewer than 100. The report also states that patrons were packed inside the establishment and social distancing measures were not being enforced.

The order states the restaurant “is hereby suspended from the sale of alcoholic beverages until such time this order is lifted of a final order is issued.”

A formal proceeding is required for the possible reinstatement of the license.

The state encourages those who see restaurants and bars not following the rules of the governor’s “Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step” plan to file a complaint.
