The Boys and Girls Club of Collier County has announced the launch of a county-wide “Back 2 School” supplies drive to promote academic success for Naples and Immokalee students in the 2020-2021 school year.

The Club is collecting supplies like notebooks, writing utensils, art supplies and other classroom items as well as monetary donations that will go toward helping students be prepared when the school year begins.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly presented our Naples and Immokalee Club families with significant financial challenges. With community support, Boys & Girls Club of Collier County will play a critical role in helping kids and our community recover,” said Megan McCarthy Beauvais, President & CEO, Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, adding, “The school supplies drive is just one way that we hope to support families, kids and teens who need us most during this unprecedented time.”

To meet the growing needs for assistance with school supplies, the school supplies drive allows donors to give both virtually and via contactless drop-off.

For those who wish to donate virtually, simply visit the Club’s Amazon Wish List, which allows donors to ship directly to the Club.

Items can also be brought to one of their Clubs via contactless drop-off. Simply bring your supplies to our Nichols Club in Naples (7500 Davis Boulevard, Naples) or our Bolch Club in Immokalee (1155 Roberts Avenue West, Immokalee) Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and drop your donation in the supply box at the front entrance.

In addition, businesses, community groups and others are serving as drop-off locations. A complete list of participating local businesses can be found on the Club’s website.

You can also make a monetary donation for the purchase of supplies via a secure portal on the Club’s website or by texting BACK2SCHOOL2020 to 44321.

All donations are tax-deductible. The school supplies drive end date has been extended to Aug. 28.
