Finding a job can be hard right now, especially with businesses downsizing to save money.

As the Luminary Hotel inches closer to the September 17 opening day, It’s time to start hiring. So if you’re one of many people looking for a job, Thursday is your chance to get in front of someone ready to make offers on the spot.

The hotel is looking for front desk workers, housekeepers, servers for its rooftop bar and restaurants, chefs and engineers.

Anyone can stop by the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday for a socially distant interview.

The general manager of the Luminary Hotel says right now they are hiring 100 workers with the intent to hire even more as the hospitality industry recovers.

“We will have all our rooms open, however the demand for those rooms is what concerns me when I look at the marketplace it’s running last week 43% occupancy so even if I had all the rooms open we would have them all occupied, so until business travel comes back we probably won’t see a full hotel, said Bob Megazzini, the Luminary Hotel General Manager.
