FHP searching for driver involved in an early morning hit-and-run on I-75 in Lee County

Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run on I-75 in Lee County, early Wednesday morning.

According to FHP, the vehicle that fled the scene was traveling south on I-75, near mile marker 118 when the front of the vehicle collided with the rear of a vehicle traveling ahead of them.

After the collision, the suspect’s vehicle became entangled inside the cable barrier on the inside shoulder of I-75.

The victim’s vehicle overturned over the cable barrier. Luckily the driver only suffered minor injuries.

The suspect fled the scene of the crash on foot. If anyone has information regarding this crash please contact the Florida Highway Patrol or Crimestoppers.
