Alaska Airlines to start nonstop service between Fort Myers and Los Angeles, Seattle
Alaska Airlines is bringing nonstop flights between Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Los Angeles and Seattle.
Service to Los Angeles begins Nov. 20 and to Seattle on Nov. 21, the airline announced Thursday. It will be the first nonstop service offered from Fort Myers to the West Coast.
Flights between RSW, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) will be available four times a week on a 737 aircraft.
“We will be extremely pleased to welcome Alaska Airlines to Southwest Florida International Airport this fall. Not only is it exciting to have a new air carrier in our market, but they will offer flights for the first time from RSW to Los Angeles and Seattle,” said Ben Siegel, acting executive director for the Lee County Port Authority. “These flights give our community something they have wanted for a long time: nonstop service to the west coast of the United States.”
