UPDATE: FMPD said late Monday that Terrance McGee was found at NCH in Collier County.

Fort Myers Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a man who was reported missing after being released from Lee County Jail in June.

According to FMPD, there is a be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) notice for Terrance McGee, 40, who is legally blind.

His friends and family told FMPD they have not seen or heard from him since June 17.

McGee was released from the jail on Ortiz Avenue after being arrested for trespassing. He was reportedly wheeled away in a wheelchair from the jail by an unknown male and female. There is no available surveillance of these individuals.

Police now consider McGee missing, and a report has been filed. Police say McGee has no history of drug or alcohol abuse.

Fort Myers Police Department asks anyone who has information or sees McGee to contact Detective Doyle at 239-321-7742 or the FMPD detective division at 239-321-8020.
