As coronavirus cases continue to grow and impact more communities, YMCAs across the state are working together with One Blood to address the ongoing need for blood donations.

Many organizations are experiencing fewer blood donations due to the cancelation of blood drives and the temporary shutdown of facilities. The Greater Naples YMCA has partnered with OneBlood to host a donation drive at the Y to help replenish the supply of blood in local hospitals and healthcare facilities.

“YMCAs across Florida have been stepping up to fill a critical need in our communities,” said Danny Soto, YMCA marketing director. “The Greater Naples YMCA is joining that effort and doing our part to ensure we have readily available blood supply for our community.”

The bloodmobile will be parked at the Greater Naples YMCA, 5450 YMCA Rd., in Naples, on Monday, July 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To follow social distancing protocol, appointments are required. To make an appointment, go to www.oneblood.org/donate-now and use sponsor code #60214.

All donors will receive a FREE COVID-19 antibody test, OneBlood t-shirt, $10 eGift card and a wellness checkup that includes blood pressure, pulse temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.
