Photo via Marianne Johnson A Port Charlotte home went up in flames early Thursday. Fire crews say they responded to the call around 5 a.m. after neighbors on Briggs Circle reported hearing a loud boom. Images sent into WINK News show the home engulfed while fire and rescue crews are on scene working to control the blaze. Todd Dunn with Charlotte Fire & EMS said the home was totally consumed but nobody was home at the time the fire started. No injuries were reported. They also say the reason the fire started has not been determined yet. Trust WINK News to have more on this situation as details are revealed.
