The FFS said the acreage was reduced from around 8,700 due to better mapping. Firefighters have spent the last couple of days widening and creating new containment lines. “The plan for the next couple of days is a continuation of detailed mop-up operations, extinguishing smoking stumps and logs as well as thorough assessment of established and newly created containment lines,” the FFS said.
