Florida begins another stage of reopening on Monday moving to Full Phase 1, as gyms and fitness centers will reopen and operate at 50% capacity.

The doors will be open for the first time in two months, but it’s going to be a little bit of a different experience with only 50% capacity allowed.

You can also expect to see machines spaced apart further apart as well as staff disinfecting equipment more frequently, and social distancing in workout classes.

Some other big changes happening Monday include restaurants and retail stores upgrading from 25% to 50% capacity as well. Restaurants bar seating will remain closed and outdoor seating is encouraged.

Sports venues can open for training events and games and amusement parks can submit a reopening plan for review.

For those of you heading out to the gym Monday, you can call in advance to see what your gym looks like capacity-wise and also what they’re doing to keep you safe.
