Credit: WINK News Hendry County deputies breaking up a block party in LaBelle were involved in a shooting early Sunday. The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were in the area of Kissimmee and Selma Daniels avenues at around 1:45 a.m. when shots rang out. Deputies went to that area and an “officer-involved shooting occurred,” according to the sheriff’s office. HCSO said they do not believe anyone was seriously injured in the incident, and the deputies involved will be placed on administrative leave during an investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information, photos or video footage from the scene to contact them. That information can be submitted anonymously here. Trust WINK News for updates.
