Wildfire broke out in Collier County overnight after spreading through containment lines

Firefighters just contained a wildfire that broke out overnight in Collier County, north of Immokalee Road.

The fire started deep in the woods of Collier County and spread over 100 acres throughout the night.

Collier Air Rescue flew over the scene to dump water on the blaze in an attempt to control the fire.

Fire officials say low humidity, dry soil, and breezy conditions all contributed to the spreading of the fire so quickly.

Collier County is at a high risk on the fire map for the state of Florida.

How the wildfire began has currently been undetermined.
