Credit: WINK News SR-82 in Lehigh Acres has reopened after being closed Wednesday afternoon for a brush fire. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office closed the road between Griffin Drive and Gateway Boulevard around 5 p.m. The fire burned around 20 acres and threatened some homes in the area of Ray Avenue. As of about 7:15 p.m., the fire was 100% contained, according to Lehigh Fire. Updated size: 20 acres total, approx 75% contained.
