One of Southwest Florida’s most wanted felons is off the streets tonight.

Lionel Buchanon, 39, has nearly two dozen prior arrests and was featured in WINK News’ Most Wanted Wednesday last week.

He was picked up Tuesday morning in North Fort Myers after authorities received a tip.

Buchanon was wanted for violating parole after a conviction on violent crimes.

He got out of prison in September after serving 14.5 years for kidnapping, sexual battery, firearms, and armed robbery.

His record doesn’t end there.

Buchanon has at least 23 prior arrests for battery, contempt, aggravated assault, and weapons charges.

Buchanon is still in custody and no bail has been set.

He’s expected back in court on May 26,
