Credit: WINK News Fort Myers police have cleared the scene where a “suspicious package” was found Monday morning at Renaissance Preserve on Michigan Avenue in Fort Myers. The Fort Myers Police Department said surveillance video showed someone get out of a car and leave what looked like a suitcase near the administrative building. FMPD said the investigation revealed the package contained only documents. The Southwest Florida Regional Bomb Squad was there as a precaution. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
