Convicted felon arrested on gun and drug possession charges in Lee County

Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on felony gun and drug possession charges while executing a search warrant in North Fort Myers.

According to LCSO, deputies were responding to an altercation in North Fort Myers when detectives initiated an investigation at a home located on the 7700 block of Hart Drive.

Detectives authored and executed a search warrant at the home of Daequan Herring, 35, who is a criminal registrant.

During the search, deputies and detectives located 11.8 grams of Molly (MDMA/Ecstasy), 12.2 grams of Crack Cocaine and 18.1 grams of Fentanyl and 18.1 grams of Cocaine.

Additionally, a .38 caliber Colt revolver was located on the premises. As a convicted felon, Herring may not be in possession of a firearm or ammunition until his rights to do so have been restored by Florida’s Office of Executive Clemency. To date, these rights have not been restored, according to LCSO

Herring was arrested and charged with Trafficking Cocaine and Fentanyl, Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
