A 25-year-old Collier County woman was arrested late Wednesday after deputies said she led them on a high-speed chase.

Maria DelRosario Montalban is charged with fleeing and eluding law enforcement while emergency equipment activated and resisting arrest.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy clocked Montalban at 107 mph in a 45 mph zone on Oil Well Road. Montalban slowed to 70 mph as she passed the deputy and overtook a street sweeper vehicle.

The deputy tried to pull over Montalban, who increased her speed to 80 mph as she continued on, according to CCSO. Montalban turned onto Everglades Boulevard and then onto 31st Street Northeast where she continued at a speed of 50 mph in a residential area, ignoring the deputy’s commands to stop from over her PA system.

The pursuit ended as Montalban pulled into her Golden Gate Estates driveway where she was taken into custody without incident.
