A 22-year-old Port Charlotte man has been arrested after the online enticement of a minor, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

CCSO deputies, along with the Fort Myers FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, investigated an online tip that came in on Jan. 19, 2020 through the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.

Dylan James Panosky reportedly communicated with an out-of-state child under the age of 16 over Discord, a social media platform used to bring gamers together.

Panosky used the app to request and send illicit photos while having sexually charged conversations with the minor, according to CCSO.

He faces charges of transmission of harmful material by electronic device by a person in another state.

“Protecting our youth from predators is a priority,” said CCSO Sheriff Bill Prummell. “Partnerships, like those between our Major Crimes Task Force deputy and the Fort Myers FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, help combine resources to better hold these child predators accountable for their illicit actions.”
