High schoolers will likely not have a prom since schools are closed for the rest of the year, but two Charlotte County students did not let that stop them from having their own.

Alyssa Brannon and Michael Angelini are juniors at Port Charlotte High School. They were excited about going to their first prom together but their junior prom was canceled because of the pandemic.

They still dressed up and had their own quarantine prom with decorations, music, and lots of photos.

“We just thought that since we weren’t going back to school it would be a fun opportunity to do with the family,” said Brannon.

The pair hopes their creative night inspires other high school students to make the best of this situation.
