SWFL Publix locations confirm employees test positive for coronavirus

Employees at four separate Publix locations in Lee County and Charlotte County are confirmed to have tested positive for the coronavirus Friday, according to a Publix Super Markets spokesperson

There are more than four employees who have tested positive between all locations, but the exact number is not confirmed currently.

According to Publix representatives, more than one employee at Publix store no. 648, which is at 20321 Summerlin Road in south Fort Myers, has tested positive for COVID-19.

At least one employee at Publix store no. 0864, 13650 Fiddlesticks Boulevard in south Fort Myers, has tested positive for COVID-19. This location is off Daniels Parkway.

At least one employee at Publix store no. 1280, 7950 Dani Drive. Ste. 200 in Fort Myers, has tested positive for the coronavirus. This location is off Six Mile Cypress Parkway.

At least one employee at Publix store no. 778, 13435 S. McCall Road in Charlotte County, has tested positive for COVID-19. This store is east of Englewood East and south of the Gulf Cove community.

There are no further details about patients currently, and we are working to gather new details.
