PE Teacher Lisa Katter (WINK News) Lisa Kattar feels trapped. While Florida is tracking people who come here from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, she fears what will happen if she leaves Florida for her home in Massachusetts. “Every day I think about it and it keeps me up at night,” she said. “Am I going to be able to get home? Am I going to have to drive? Are the roads going to close down?” Kattar flew down to Naples a couple of weeks ago to be with family during these hard times. “It has really been one of those situations where it’s time for a lot of self reflection and thinking about what ways could I have done anything better,” she said. “Should I have not come? How are my kids? So it has created a lot of different forms of anxiety for me.” Kattar is a physical education teacher who is working remotely. She says her friends and neighbors worry Florida is the next hot spot and they want her to self-quarantine when she finally goes home. “I think people’s reactions right now, especially from hearing from some friends at home, are like, they would not come to my house,” she said. So for now, she’ll stay put in Naples and ask her students and friends back home to take care of themselves and not worry about her. “I think that’s been the most critical thing for me, is that just reassuring the kids that it’s going to be alright,” she said.
