Alleged Babe’s Gentleman’s Club shooter arrested in Hillsborough County

A man Fort Myers Police say is responsible for a double shooting at a Fort Myers gentleman’s club in January was arrested in Hillsborough County on Thursday.

According to Fort Myers Police Department, Jonathan Reid, 30, was arrested for allegedly shooting two men at Babe’s Gentleman’s Club on Cleveland Avenue, on Jan. 29.

The two men suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Following the shooting Reid fled the scene towards McGregor Blvd and crashed several minutes later. Evidence was recovered from his vehicle linking him to the shooting.

On Thursday the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force arrested Reid in Hillsborough County pursuant to an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery.
