Naples artist gives online art lessons to teach, ease stress

A Naples artist who had to close her studio due to the coronavirus pandemic hasn’t stopped sharing her art.

Now, she’s online teaching children to use their time and supplies around the house in a creative way.

Bronia Ichel’s videos can not only inspire kids, but help lessen their anxiety.

“Because they’re home, they can still keep learning at home,” she said. “It’s Mrs. B coming to visit them each day and doing a fun art lesson.”

The projects only require time and items most of us have in our home.

“I’m trying to make it very easy and stress-free for the parents.”

Ichel said art helped her as a child when she moved to the United States from Poland.

Not only did art become her passion, it also became a creative outlet, and she encourages families to channel their anxious energy into their own masterpieces.

“Some of the adults have been drawing too and getting a lot of enjoyment from it and therapy at this challenging time,” she said.

Ichel plans to continue creating videos as long as schools are closed.
