An arrest has been made in connection to a fatal shooting at Coral Harbor apartments in south Fort Myers on January 28.

According to Sheriff Carmine Marceno, Ryan Wallace Davis faces second-degree murder charges in the death of another man. The identity of the victim, who was in his 20s, has not been released

A FedEx driver was delivering a package to an apartment at the complex near Gladiolus Drive and Maida Lane when he saw a body inside the home through the front, which was ajar.

The driver called 911 which led to a manhunt for the killer and any evidence that would lead to a suspect.

Sheriff Marceno said, “Our major crimes detectives have worked around the clock … conducting interviews and reviewing hours of surveillance video.”

A witness said the suspect threw a gun magazine out of a car window, which led to several searches.

Two recent active scenes have been confirmed as being connected to this case. Davis lives on Embers Parkway in Cape Coral where deputies were seen surrounding a home Thursday, and I-75 near Palm Beach Blvd, where for two days detectives searched for evidence.

Davis had bail set at $1 million.
