Sidney Cramer is using her violin to help animals in Southwest Florida who will spend this Christmas inside of a shelter.

“The Humane Society, because of my love for animals and I’ve always wanted to be a vet when I grow up,” Cramer said. “I can use my talents for the better good.”

This is the third year now that Cramer, 14 years old, is playing for people passing by her Victoria Park home. If they like her holiday tunes, she appreciates a donation for the Humane Society of Naples, where she volunteers her time. She keeps a Facebook page to update you about her scrupulous musical endeavors.

In the first year, the Naples teen raised $1,400. While in the second year, she raised $1,200. Both are donations Sarah Baeckler Davis, the executive director for the Humane Society of Naples, sees as making a difference for the thousands of animals it shelters each year.

“We use it to help take care of the animals and it’s really cool that she both donates her time and money and we really try to multiply that and she also helps us spread the word which is awesome,” Davis said.

Cramer will be playing in front of her home at 9698 Whitehall St. in Victoria Park this Saturday and next weekend, starting at 7 p.m. The Naples teenager shows her musical passion in these performances, making music and inspiring people in her community this holiday season.

“I like that I’m doing good and I like that I get to help a cause,” Cramer said.
