Deputies: Lehigh Acres man sexually assaults two kids under 12 years old

A Lehigh Acres man was arrested on Tuesday, accused of sexually assaulting two children younger than 12 years old.

The suspect, John Michael Breen, 33, faces charges of two counts of Sexual Assault on a Victim Under the Age of 12, Cruelty Toward a Child and Lewd and Lascivious Behavior Victim Less than 12 years old.

Multiple agencies including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and a multinational technology corporation found the suspect was sexually exploiting and abusing a young child in Lehigh Acres. The suspect distributed photographs online depicting sexual acts performed on that child.

After obtaining a search warrant, the investigation lead to the arrest of the suspect for the sexual assault of two children. Sheriff Carmine Marceno praised the relentless effort of the multiple agencies in the investigation to put the suspect behind bars.

“Anyone capable of abusing two young children in this way,” Marceno said, “should never see the light of day again!”
