Credit: WINK News. The Florida Everblades fell to the Kansas City Mavericks 5-4 in overtime Saturday at home on a night when there were a few other highlights of mention. Blades captain “Johnny Mac” McCarron suited up for his 200th game as a Blade, wearing an ugly Christmas sweater jersey. And that coincided with one of the best traditions in hockey — the teddy bear toss. Fans showered the ice with teddy bears the moment Zach Magwood scored to tie the game 1-1 in the first period.
