A Cape Coral man was arrested on Wednesday evening after smacking a person in front of him in the head for taking too long at a Walmart checkout line.

The suspect, Henry Harvey, 69, faces a Battery charge.

Harvey and his wife were in a checkout line at the Pine Island Rd. Walmart on Wednesday around 7:15 p.m. Harvey became enraged that the person ahead of him in line was taking too long at the checkout register. According to the Cape Coral Police Dept. press release, an argument with that person led the suspect to punch the victim in the head.

Harvey was later arrested at his Cape Coral home. The victim was not seriously injured from the attack, the press release states.
