Wild Harvest Organic All-Purpose Flour product recalled due to E. coli. concern

The FDA recently announced United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) has voluntarily recalled five-pound bags of its Wild Harvest Organic All-Purpose Flour due to concerns for the potential presence of E. coli.

According to the FDA, during routine FDA sampling of the products being recalled, E. coli. was tested positive.

The recall is being made because E. coli. can cause serious and sometimes life-threatening infections in infants, older people, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems.

UNFI has not currently received any direct consumer reports of confirmed illnesses related to the product, but the recall is being followed through with out of care for consumer safety.

This recall only affects the following code date of Wild Harvest® Organic All-Purpose Flour, Unbleached five-pound bags currently in stores or consumers’ pantries. No other types of Wild Harvest® Flour are affected by this recall.
