Small Business Saturday (WINK News)

Small Business Saturday kicked off this morning. You can step up and support small businesses right here in Southwest Florida.

Black Friday is officially over, but that doesn’t mean the bargains are over here in SWFL. Saturday morning, over 50 vendors will line the streets in downtown Fort Myers and offer tons of deals.

The purpose of Small Business Saturday is to encourage people to shop local, bring more holiday shopping to our area and in return, help out our local businesses.

You can find items ranging from vintage, crafts, home decor, jewelry, furniture, Christmas items and many more.

And for some local store owners, Small Business Saturday is the biggest day of the year.

“Small Business Saturday, for us, is kind of like a retail Super Bowl,” said Karen Allegretti, owner of Market Earth in downtown Fort Myers. “That is truly our number one day of the year, especially down here in Fort Myers.”

The event starts at 11 and goes until 5 in Fort Myers, but make sure to check out this map to see the closest Small Business Saturday deals near you.
