Fire at Alligator Towing in Fort Myers The Fort Myers Police and Fire Departments are on the scene of a fire at the Alligator Towing company near the intersection of Ortiz Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. One firefighter was transported to the hospital after inhaling too much smoke. Westbound lanes were closed down for a portion of the morning, but have since reopened. Crews are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
