Hundreds of boats are on display Saturday in downtown Fort Myers for the 47th Annual Fort Myers Boat Show!

It’s the place to be if you love getting out on the water.

The event draws hundreds of people every year and gives boat dealers and downtown a big boost.

This year’s boat show has the largest display with 60 vendors.

You’ll see everything from bay boats to multi-million dollar yachts.

This year’s layout will wrap around the entire length of the riverside in downtown Fort Myers because the luminary hotel is still under construction.

However, the hotel is expected to draw more people to events like this one in the future, which is why the show’s director says the event will continue to grow.

It’s certainly a shot in the arm, because it gives our people, especially the snowbirds coming back down from the north, they get to see what’s happening down here in the south and get to see what’s new in the industry.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

If you’re interested in checking out some of the boats, admission is $13.

As for parking, organizers suggest you park in their remote lot off First Street and Fowler. It’s $5, but they’ll shuttle you right to the entrance.
