Two injured in crash on Veterans Pkwy

A major road in Cape Coral was blocked off for a portion of the morning due to a crash that sent debris all over the road.

The wreck happened on Veterans Parkway between two vehicles that were both mangled from the collision.

The drivers of the two vehicles involved were injured and both treated at a nearby hospital.

Crews were on scene for hours cleaning up the mess and other debris that was scattered all over the road.

As of 5:30 a.m. the roads were clear and reopened after being completely closed for hours overnight.

The crash is still under investigation.
