A 51-year-old Fort Myers resident is in critical condition after being struck by a car on Sunday night. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling southbound in the outside lane of McGregor Boulevard approaching the intersection of Kopak Court. As the vehicle approached the intersection, the unidentified pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway traveling eastbound. As a result, the front of the vehicle struck the pedestrian, causing the critical injuries. The victim was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.
