Man arrested for 2017 fiery Fort Myers fatal crash on McGregor

Fort Myers Police Department arrested Andrew Grant Conlyn, 29, for a 2017 fiery fatal crash that killed 26-year-old Colten Hassut in Fort Myers.

According to FMPD, Hassut was killed in a crash along McGregor Boulevard on March 1, 2017. The police department says speed was a factor in the collision.

This was a single-vehicle crash. Both Conlyn and Hassut were in a 1997 Ford Mustang that hit palm trees and a utility pole, officers told us in 2017.

Conlyn faces a charge for Vehicular Homicide.

Conlyn is in Lee County Jail without a set bond. His first court appearance will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday,
