Gulfshore Life recognizes its 2019 men and women of the year

Eight men and women received a significant honor on Wednesday evening. Gulfshore Life recognized each as the men and women of the year.

WINK News partner, Gulfshore Life, celebrated community trailblazers and people who endlessly make Southwest Florida a better place at the Ritz Golf Resort.

Chef Asif Syed is one of the men this year. He was recognized for his culinary expertise and his support for local non-profits.

“I feel very honored. I’m so surprised,” Syed said. “I’m so glad Naples has become a culinary destination they love here and enjoy a bunch of ethnic food.”

Others honored include Brooke Denson, David Hoffman, Rebecca Maddox, Jason Stephens, Julia Van Domelen, Dr. Paul Jones and Kevin Ruane. Lois Thome, a WINK News anchor, emceed the event. She is also a former ‘Woman of the Year’ honoree.
