‘Eva’s Closet’ founder aims to help community by providing necessities at no cost

Kindness: The quality of being friendly, generous and considerate.

Jessica Goodall is all three.

“Sure,” she says laughing.

She’s also humble. Nearly four years ago, she put her kindness into practice when she founded Eva’s Closet.

“I felt that we could really serve populations in need in this area,” said Goodall.

Eva’s Closet provides necessities to clients at no cost. Whether it’s food or clothing, there really is something for everyone.

Tucked away off a main road, you’ll find her warehouse full of stuff. Everything from baby clothes, to toys and household supplies.

“You see a large amount of clients and children don’t get the services that they fully need,” said Goodall.

Marisol Castellanos and her three-year-old son Mike appreciate Jessica’s kindness.

She said she’s been coming to Eva’s Closet for six months for herself and her little boy and Jessica makes her feel right at home.

Nic Andro works alongside Jessica and sees first-hand how she makes a difference.

“Honestly, it’s amazing working here with Jessica,” said Andro. “Without her, there would be people hungry or having no clothing.”

And she plans to continue for years to come.

Eva’s Closet is also holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive! They are collecting the following items to donate to those in need this holiday season:

• Canned vegetables and beans
• Stuffing/boxed potatoes
• Pie crust/pie filling
• Soups/gravy/dressing
• Pasta/sauce
• Cereal/snacks/crackers
