Employees were working the lunch shift at a Naples strip-mall eatery Thursday afternoon when they heard a loud boom.

A car plowed into the Panda Pavillion Chinese Restaurant at 1805 Tamiami Trail N in Naples, leaving a messy aftermath of fallen tile, broken windows and caution tape roping off the eatery from patrons. There were no injuries in the incident.

Lisa Lagergren, who owns Flower Spot, an adjacent business, told WINK News an older woman was driving the car that propelled into Panda Pavillion. Immediately, Lagergren called 911. No customers were inside the restaurant at the time of the crash, she said.

While Panda Pavillion will still be doing deliveries, it is unsure if it will be open for patrons to dine inside on Friday.
