Is it too early to think about Christmas? Some of you think, “What about Thanksgiving,” while others say the earlier decorations go up, the merrier. But this is the season where brick and mortar stores shine.

Some people said they are skipping another one of their favorite holidays. “It seems like Halloween and Christmas are the same days,” said Anthony Spatorico, who lives in Naples. “I was thinking, wow, that’s a little early.”

While others, including Naples resident Cuverto Suarez, said decorating for Christmas brings back happy memories. They said, why not start early? “The sooner we start celebrating,” Suarez said, “the better. We need that.”

But regardless of what time of the year it is, stores did not hesitate to put out the Christmas lights, nutcrackers, trees and gingerbread houses. And since Thanksgiving is so late this year, stores want to make the most out of the season.

Online, there are webpages already set to advertise for the year-end cash infusion for stores around the country. These include Target Black FridayCostco Holiday Savings, Amazon Happy HoliDeals and Walmart’s Black Friday is coming.

“The stores put them out early to sell more stuff,” Spatorico said.

“We’re only 30 days away from December,” Suarez said. “I think it should get started, so we get our wallets together.”
