Star Teacher of the Week: Heather Morse

This week’s Star Teacher started out as a student in Lee County and now finds anyway to build up our future generation inside the halls of Estero High School.

“It’s important to me especially as an alumni of Estero high school to add to that large group of proud Estero wildcats,” said Star Teacher Heather Morse.

From student to teacher, Morse helps high schoolers pass the most important test of their lives with ease.

“Testing anxiety is huge for the students and even the teachers and the proctors. My goal is to make it as calm and stress free for everybody involved,” Morse said.

Being a testing coordinator isn’t an easy position to take on but Morse saw a need and stepped up to the plate, which is something she often does.

“She’s always willing to step up and does whatever we need her to do at the school,” Estero High School Principal Mike Amabile.

Also getting excited about other excelling is another one of her strengths.

“Having Heather on our staff is extremely important to me that we recognize not only our students but she does a good job at recognizing our staff as well,” Principal Amabile said.

Morse recently lead a mission recognizing the students of Estero High that received perfect scores on their FSA test.

She gathered her colleagues and showed up at the houses of the students.

Although that was a shocking moment for those students, Morse helped create that moment the kids were happy to be a part of.
