Plane crashes at Stuart, Florida air show

A plane has crashed at the Audi Stuart Air Show.

According to a tweet from event organizers and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office the crash happened at Whitham Field shortly before 1:30 p.m.

The Stuart Air Show tweeted they have “had an incident involving one of our aircraft. All local and federal agencies are on site and investigating so that we may ensure the safety of our airshow before we continue.”

Martin County Sheriff’s Office also said in a tweet “MCFR on scene of plane crash at Whitham Field. No further information available at this time.”

The air show is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Friday. At this time it’s still unclear whether there were any injuries.
