Deputies have been on the scene of a home where two people were found dead Sunday.

For over 24-hours now, detectives have been investigating inside and outside the home on Juddale Street in Lehigh Acres where a double homicide happened. As of now, there’s still no word on why or how this horrible crime happened.

On Monday, deputies were keeping the findings of their investigation under wraps. They spent much of the day taking photos in and outside the house.

The scene was quite the opposite to the chaos that unfolded Sunday. Neighbors witnessed dozens of police cars outside the home for hours.

Neighbor Maria Scemik said she was concerned, “I have never seen this before — absolutely not.”

Given little detail about what happened, she and others spent the entire evening watching deputies from outside the crime scene tape.

“Before, it was a very nice neighborhood,” Scemik said, “People are friendly and I never see any police cars and all is fine here.”

Neighbors who did not want to go on camera, out of respect for the family, tell us one of the victims was a mother of six. The youngest, being just a baby. They say the hardest part of it all is not knowing.
