A man in North Naples is behind bars on Thursday after he was found with cocaine during a traffic stop. Moments before, the suspect was videotaping victims walking their dog and followed them to their home.

The suspect, William Vicente Jr., 30, faces a charge of Possession of Cocaine.

Neighbors, who requested to remain anonymous, were walking their dog Thursday evening when they saw a male standing in the street videotaping them. According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, after going inside of their home, Vicente was watching them through the window.

Vicente then went to the front door to ring the doorbell, leaving the victims in fear, the CCSO arrest report states. With no answer to the door, the suspect left the property and went into the front passenger seat of a neon green Mazada hatchback. Vicente later told deputies he was handing out business cards.

Around 7:05 p.m., a deputy stopped the Mazada at the intersection of 95th St. N and 8th St. in North Naples. Vicente was fidgeting and suspiciously touching a bulge in his pocket that the deputy soon determined to be 12 grams of cocaine. Shortly afterward, Vicente was arrested.

Now, the suspect is in Naples Jail Center.
